Rising in popularity as a fun and easy-to-use assessment tool, Kahoot! is a tool that can boost student engagement and participation. Kahoot! enables you to create gameshow-like quizzes, assessments, and more. These are called kahoots. Kahoots can be created for all ages using question types like multiple choice and true or false. Spice up your kahoot with images and video to further engage your learners. You can use Kahoot! in your classroom, a virtual classroom, or assign it students to complete it in their own time as homework. The Kahoot! dashboard provides you with reports for every kahoot you make. The reports make grading easy with information for both the class as a whole and individual students. In this video I explain some of the basics when starting to use Kahoot!. By the end of this tutorial you will be able to create, share, and analyze the results for your very own kahoot and/or a pre-made kahoot.

Reflecting on this video, there are a few things I would do differently in the future when making another tutorial. The most obvious thing would be to slow down the pace of the video. If there was not a 7 minute limit, I would have pause the video at the beginning of each new section so the viewer could focus on the verbal instruction. At the moment, there is a lot for the viewer to take in with both the verbal explanation and the visual tutorial playing at the same time. Alternatively, if I were to make another 7 minute video, I would have had a smaller scope to cover within the time limit. For example, instead of going into more detail with finding a pre-made kahoot or other aspects of the dashboard, I could have just focused on creating a kahoot.
